A Short Speech by Bryan Dyson

Here’s a very very short (30 second) speech by Bryan Dyson, CEO of Coca Cola. It’s short but one of the most effective and true speeches ever delivered by a CEO. Guess what the speech pertains to… Professional development? Working overtime? Nope. It’s about the importance of relationship in life, having good time with family and friends and taking out time to rest and relax. So, here’s what Mr. Dyson has to say. Check it out!

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. Name them – Work, Family, Health, Friends & Spirit. You are keeping all of them in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.

But the other four balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of glass.

bryan-dyson-ball-jugglingIf you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.

So guys, there’s something beyond our work. Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Have proper rest and give the required time to your family and friends.

Keep ur family in ur heart ,health in ur hands friends in ur brain and mix ur work with spirit and at last dont imagine life as a game and one very important thing avoid colas and use only tender coconut water because if ur stomach get upset then u cant work properly or juggling the balls

This is an almost direct quote from the book “Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas” by James Patterson. In the book, the 5th ball is named “Integrity”.
