2011 – Some Interesting Facts

Every new year brings something special for us. But the year 2011 seems to be more special than others. Did you know that the calendar year 2011 holds in its fold some special events we may live to witness just once? Few things that will not happen again until after 800 years… few things that bind us all in one single formula… Isn’t that awesome? Here are some interesting facts about this special year.

July and October in 2011 will have 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens just once in every 823 years.

2011-interesting-factsJuly 2011 will have 4 unusual dates:

  • 1/1/11
  • 1/11/11
  • 11/1/11
  • 11/11/11

And that’s not all. Here’s the most special thing about this year:

  • Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born.
  • Add the age you will be in 2011.
  • The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world.

For example, if you were born in 1980, the last two digits would be 80. Your age in 2011 would be 31 years. If you add these two (80+31), you’ll get 111.
